My Grindhouse Review
|
I see that there are a lot of entries about Grindhouse here on Bloodee, so I figured I'd offer in my review. When I saw this movie, I had no idea what it would be about, NO IDEA. All I knew is there was a woman with a gun for a leg and that there were two separate movies. Now I'll get right down to it.
The two movies are "Planet Terror" and "Death Proof". Planet Terror has a lot more action; there are zombies, lots of shooting, blood, and some really disgusting stuff. However, it was really cool, so I liked it. Death Proof had a lot of "fluff"; it spent half an hour on two different sets of women, to develop their characters. It worked, the characters were developed well, but it took too damn long. There is a really exciting chase scene, perhaps the most exciting I've ever seen, and the ending was somewhat satisfying so I liked that too.
What was most funny were the in-movie commercials. There was one called "Thanksgiving", and it was about murders during Thanksgiving, and the tagline was, "You'll come home for the holidays... in a bodybag" and that made me laugh a lot.
