The case of nearly 11 week old Jason Midyette is still under investigation. The baby had multiple broken bones and a severely fractured skull and a HIGH amount of benzodiazapines in his system. He died of severe brain injury 1 day short of turning 11 weeks old.

On the night his parents brought him into the hospital emergency room the health care providers noticed some things that just weren't right with the parents reactions. While Alex and Molly Midyette spent the entire week at the hospital with their young son....their behavior was not at all what would be expected of parents whose baby was dying.
Molly seemed strung out and distant from her child. Alex, on the other hand, was acting normal. He was angry and very distraught over the condition of his baby boy. During the time there the Midyette's behavior with each other was strained, distant. Alex avoided Molly... wanting nothing to do with her. There was no hugging or trying to console each other. What happened to little Jason?
