This one looks good. Period. After District 9, which was simply amazing, who knew alien creatures could once again awaken my interest. Here is the jist: "Six years ago NASA discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system.

A probe was launched to collect samples, but crashed upon re-entry over Central America.



Soon after, new life forms began to appear there and half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE.



Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain "the creatures"...

Our story begins when a US journalist agrees to escort a shaken American tourist through the infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the US border."

The Monster pics below don't show much in terms of... monsters. But the trailer gives a much better idea of the tone. I have a The Road feeling about this one, with tentacles to boot.

The movie will premiere On Magnolia On Demand September 24th and In Theatres October 29th.

SECOND, some candy for people in Dallas. Writer Bart Van Bemmel tells us that Throwing Stones has been invited to take part in the horror con BLOODAPALOOZA at Dallas Market Hall in Dallas, TX on October 8-10.  The cast and crew will be signing autographs, giving away swag, raffles, and debuting the trailer. The concept of Throwing Stones derives from the sociologist theory on broken windows.  A broken window is left unfixed in a neighborhood; it signals to that community it's acceptable for that type of behavior to take place. These ideas compound until the neighborhood becomes decayed and unable to achieve its past grander.  Now apply the theory to schools and replace

broken windows with broken students, and now you have one hell of horror ride as the antagonist eliminates the unacceptable element that walk the halls of Blair High School.

The storyline picks up where Dead Frontier: Outbreak left it and is again a choice-based zombie survival game.

You don't need a walkthrough for this one, pretty easy and straightforward. Its almost impossible to die actually. The game is sponsored by deadfrontier.com. For those of you who haven't tried the Dead Frontier MMORPG yet, I say don't. Two reasons:

1- In its current stage, you need to consume a lot of prescription drugs to stay awake. Seriously. For the same price of buying a GAU, the best weapon in the game, you could buy an Xbox and play the zombie mode with better graphics, action, etc.

2- It was announced a couple of weeks back that the game would go 3D... with more variation of zombies and locations. Now thats interesting.

So two reasons: right now it sucks and in the future it could possibly blow your mind.

I concede that I am definitely not an alien movie fan, but since District 9 came out, I have been more and more enclined to explore the flavours that the genre offers. And I like these movies that intertwine different styles. And Milla J.

The zombie strippers dance (hmmm), bite, and wreak havoc in the sexy underground club of the manager Ian, played by "A Nightmare on Elm Street" Englund. Its not scary. It truly ain't. But damn is it fun.

Sam (Donahue) is a pretty college sophomore, so desperate to earn some cash for a deposit on an apartment that she accepts a babysitting job even after she finds out there is no baby.  Mr. and Mrs. Ulman (cult actors Noonan and Woronov) are the older couple who lure Sam out to their creeky Victorian mansion deep in the woods, just in time for a total lunar eclipse.  Megan (Gerwig) is Sam’s best friend, who gives her a ride out to the house, and reluctantly leaves her there despite suspecting that something is amiss.  Victor (Bowen) at first seems like just a creepy guy lurking around the house, but quickly makes it clear that Sam will end this night in a bloody fight for her life....
