Death in all it's gory

In the world of Crime Scene Investigation/Forensic Sciences
everyday can be a nightmare. One will get to see the harshest , darkest, bleakest, and saddest aspects of humanity and the world we live in. Everything from the most gruesome forms of executions to the sad suicide is in the pages of the link I have provided above. Train accidents, murders, suicides, freak accidents, and many other of the gruesome, seedy underworld that surrounds us.
Most of us live sheltered away from this world that surrounds us and permeates our society. And, yet we will go to movie houses, or sit at home watching bloody, violent movies depicting various and imaginative ways that humanity can be made to suffer horribly before they die. Why is this? Does the darkness inherent every human soul drive us to seek out these types of movies? Do we, by some quirk of the human psyche, have a need to see violence? And, the aftermath of that violence?
If you decide to visit the link I have provided..then here is fair warning...this site is NOT for the faint of heart or for the weak of stomach. If you are prone to nightmares...do not visit this site. Otherwise, if you think you can handle what REAL death looks like, then feel free to proceed. You have been warned.
