Legends of the Dark and Bloody Ground pt.4
|
This is a experience of a friend of my hubby and me who also had a run in with a creature that I talked about in the 3rd posting of this series.
This friend of ours, who I'll call S., was with a buddy of his, that I'll call T., that we'd met a few times, out running around one night. They had decided to do some frog giggin'. (frog giggin' is going out with a 2 or 3 pronged spear and catching them to get frog legs..yuck.) Not too many hours later they showed up at our apt. shaking and white as sheets. We got them calmed down enough to tell us what was wrong.
They had went out one of the old fire trails towards a pond that S.'s friend knew about that was usually full of frogs, and when they got to the area his friend pulled the car over to the edge of the gravel and dirt road. While S was getting the giggin' spears out of the trunk his friend T. decided he needed to use the male perogative and talk to a tree at the edge of the field. The moon was out bright and nearly full, so there was lots of light. S. looked over when T. made a choking sound...and said, "What the hell is that?" "Is that real?" S. looked in the direction T. was looking and said..."Oh shit! It's real!" "Get in the f**king the car NOW!" As they scrambled into the car the thing started running towards them. T. got the car started and hit the gas...accelerating as fast as he could. It was running down the road after them and nearly caught the car.
They finally hit the main road and left the thing behind.
The description of the what they saw was chilling. The creature looked to be around 7-9 feet tall with long shaggy white/grey hair or fur. It walked up right on two legs and
hand red eyes and long fangs. It also had long claws on it's hands and feet. And, then, S. said something I'll never forget...he said, "I was terrified, not because of it killing me, but because if it caught me I had the feeling it would have stolen my soul."
